Journal of Dr. Rebekah Slowaki MD

This is my journal I will be keeping to update my medical and scientific discoveries.

I work for Johns Hopkins hospital as a medical examiner, I have seen many things from gruesome stab wounds to natural heart attacks. As of recently however I have been seeing things that I, well cannot explain. Yesterday While doing the autopsy of a 34 year old woman whos name I cannot release and honestly I shouldnt even be writing this, who died unexpectedly (no outward wounds or even internal bleeding and was in rather good health), routine procedure. However what was not routine was what I found. She was..decaying. She had only been dead for a day or two and kept in our freezers but on the inside she was completely decayed. Her insides were almost completely liquified but her outside showed no signs of decay. She was still in the stage of post mortem where she looked asleep. As soon as I opened her up the stench immediatly hit me. I am familiar with the strong stench of death and major decay but that was different. It was almost sweet, it was perfumey and strong. I was so taken a back with what i was seeing, and smelling. I took samples from the decayed sludge that was once her organs and bottled them. Theyre still in my office as I write this. I am unsure of what to do about this. I have read through all of my medical journals and research for an answer to how this can happen to a person and so far nothing has turned up. Tomorrow I will check on her again and see if anything changed as well as take more samples from her skin, hair, nails, and bones which are not decomposed. For now I simply dont know what to do. Research what it could be? Tell my superiors? Contact any family? But no next of kin has been listed? The whole situation is very confusing and odd. A medical marvel if Ive ever seen one.
